Granate & La Moissie Open Call
As part of our foundational objectives, we have created a grant that will invite one artist to participate in the Granate & La Moissie Artist Residency for three weeks, with the aim of offering:
● Access to an ideal and inspiring environment for the creation and development of their artistic proposal — a moment of calm and focus, far from the demands of daily life.
● Connection with other artists, enriching the process through diverse creative approaches
● Exploration of new ways to share artistic practice in different spaces and with diverse audiences, including those who may not be closely connected to the art world.
● Personalized professional guidance.
The grant is designed for artists who wish to explore or redefine their creative process, carry out research, or develop a new project that seeks to engage a wider audience .
The residency will take place at Manoir de la Moissie, a restored 16th century hunting lodge in the Perigord Noir. Hidden behind 300 year old trees, the residency is just a short walk from the charming medieval village of Belves, in the Dordogne region of France, and will last for three weeks. The grant covers both accommodation and travel expenses*, ensuring the ideal conditions for a transformative creative experience.
The open call is addressed to those seeking to develop their artistic practice in a professional context, through projects involving experimentation, research and/or critical reflection. Artists over the age of 21 who are not currently enrolled in academic programs are eligible to apply. Applicants may work in any medium but must have at least two years of professional experience and a record of participation in several exhibitions.
In addition to accommodation and full board during the three weeks, the grant includes three optional advisory sessions on:
● Navigating the art world: galleries, museums, foundations and collectors (International curator).
● Monetizing your artistic practice: meaningful collaborations with brands and private organizations aligned with the artist’s values (Esther Almansa, Cultural agent, manager and advertising producer with over 20 years of experience).
● Artistic practice and market integration (Eltono, artist with more than 20 years of experience).
Application module:
If you believe in art as a way to enrich the human experience, foster transformation, and cultivate dialogue and reflection, this call is for you. Granate invites you to slow down and step away from the rhythm of daily life, offering a space where artistic creation is nurtured through dialogue, inspiration, and exchange — all in connection with nature, gastronomy, and meaningful human relationships. We encourage you to apply and become part of an experience designed to be significant on a personal, artistic, and collective level.
